The Brutalist Playground

Super excited to hear that The Brutalist Playground by Assemble and Simon Terrill will be coming to Sheffield next week. 18 June – 11 September 2016.

A part sculpture, part installation and all play exhibition. The touring exhibition that shown in London last summer, explores the post-war design for play that no longer exist as the playgrounds were unsuitable for play. The original playgrounds were made from concrete in shapes of hexagons, ramps and holes in walls. Assemble and Simon Terrill have drawn inspiration will recreate the visual elements from the playgrounds in reconstituted foam.
