Approach

The beauty market can be overwhelming, with complex routines and jargon-filled packaging. Necessary Good wanted a brand that was refreshingly straightforward, cutting through the noise while still feeling premium.

Our approach was to create a visual identity that mirrors the brand’s philosophy: simple, intuitive, and effective. Every design choice needed to signal clarity, trust, and impact, while appealing to educated skincare consumers who value both results and sustainability.

Concept

The identity brings together contrast and clarity. Busy background textures are overlaid with bold, direct messaging, while strategic colour-coding guides users effortlessly through the range.

Elegant serif logotypes balance approachable sans-serif product copy, marrying beauty with accessibility. The brand’s commitment to innovation runs deeper than design,  each product uses Innerbottle® technology, an airless balloon system that collapses as you pump, ensuring less than 1% of product gets left behind. It’s clever, sustainable engineering that matches the brand’s belief: every drop should go where it belongs: on your skin, not in the bin.
